Investing with Tradiam.

Who is Tradiam?

Tradiam Asset Managers Ltd is a Nairobi fund manager licensed by the Capital Markets Authority of Kenya. We manage unit trust funds, private portfolios and institutional mandates.

Who holds my money?

I&M Bank Limited holds each fund's assets as custodian, apart from Tradiam's own money, and MTC Trust & Corporate Services Limited is the trustee. Tradiam manages the investments but does not hold them.

What's the least I can invest?

KES 1,000 in Mfalme Money Market Fund, KES 5,000 in Wekeza Fixed Income Fund, or USD 2,500 in Tau Fixed Income Fund.

How do I open an account?

Online, through the investment portal, with your ID or passport, your KRA PIN and your bank details.

How do I pay in?

Mfalme and Wekeza take M-Pesa (paybill 542542) or a bank transfer to the fund's I&M Bank account. Tau takes a US dollar transfer to its I&M Bank account. Quote your fund account number each time, and you'll find each fund's account details on its fact sheet.

How fast can I withdraw?

Mfalme has no lock-in and pays within two business days. Wekeza pays at the end of the lock-in you choose, from one to twelve months. Tau has a three-month lock-in, then pays within two business days.

Are returns guaranteed?

No. Unit trusts are investments, not bank deposits, and their value can fall as well as rise.

What fees will I pay?

None of our unit trusts charges an entry or exit fee. The management fee is 2.0% a year for Mfalme, 3.0% for Wekeza and 1.5% for Tau, and returns are quoted net of it. Every fee is on the fund page and fact sheet before you invest.

What is Mufasa Special Fund?

Our fund for wealth meant to outlast you, invested for the long term and reported monthly. Its terms are on the Mufasa page.

What is the WSA Banking Index ETF?

An exchange traded fund holding all twelve listed Kenyan banks, managed by Tradiam. The CMA approved it in August 2026, and it lists on the NSE on 28 October 2026. You buy it through any NSE stockbroker.
